Three choirs of the Music Ministry enable adults to contribute musically to our worship.
St. Luke's Choir
The purpose of the St. Luke's Choir is to lead music in worship, to develop worship and music skills, to teach a love of singing the music of the church, and to encourage the development of faith in Jesus Christ. This choir is the cornerstone of music leadership for our traditional Sunday worship service, Christmas, Holy Week, Easter and other special services. Every year during the Lenten and Easter season, these men and women perform a major choral work. Open to High School through Adult singers.
Rehearsals: Thursdays, 7:00 – 8:30pm
Requiem Choir
The purpose of the Requiem Choir is to lead the singing of hymns at funerals. There are no rehearsals. Men and women join with members of the St. Luke’s Choir in the choir room fifteen minutes prior to a funeral service. Open to all singers.
Ring & Rejoice Handbells
The purpose of the Ring & Rejoice Handbells is to develop the art of ringing handbells and to enrich worship at our traditional Sunday worship service.
We also have four Children and Youth Choirs
.
