Today was a quiet day. We met Dr. Chilling and made plans for getting the meds for the medical mission. We tried to see about going to the Independence Day party at the U.S. Embassy....only to find out it was last Saturday! Go figure!
We then went out to Slipway to do some shopping and have lunch by the ocean....beautiful and delicious! Gao met with Bill to get the arrangements set for transportation for the medical mission.
We all enjoyed a gelato before heading back to shop for items we will be needing for our missions. Since lunch was so late and so good, we opted for snacks for a light supper. Logan, Tyler, Amanda, Ebony, Bill and I went for a walk before it got dark and bought some mango for breakfast.....well some for supper, too!
All in all it was a great day. Tomorrow we will celebrate the Diocese's 50th Anniversary. It will be quite a celebration. We promise to take lots of pictures!
For the team....good night and thank you for all of your prayers....we will have lots of stories to tell when we get home!
This blog has been created to keep you up-to-date on all of the things God is doing through the team He has sent to Tanzania from St. Luke's Church, Hilton Head Island, SC. Sometimes it is difficult for the team to send information to us due to limited access to the Internet. Be assured that all of the latest news will be posted as soon as it is received. We ask that you please keep this mission team in your prayers and be sure to post your comments of encouragement when you feel led.
