BMOC
(Currently not meeting)
All men of the church and visitors are welcome at our BMOC (Being Men of Christ) activities. Since the pandemic began we have not been meeting but our leadership is actively planning for starting up again in 2022. This Christmas we are once again hosting a dinner for our whole congregation and guests which will raise money for the St. Luke's Preschool.  The BMOC / Preschool Dinner will begin a time of "dinner theater" as our St. Luke's Players make their first appearance. Please join us for this!

We always need help planning and organizing our events. Contact the BMOC chairperson Sam Tooma by submitting a request at the bottom of this page if you would like to help us or get any additional information about us.

BMOC dinners are held in the St. Luke's Fellowship Hall. The annual BMOC / Preschool Dinner and Auction this past December had more than 175 attendees. This picture shows the hall for a dinner honoring Rev. Greg Kronz that had 255 attendees.

Intercessory Prayer Group

(Currently not meeting)
Prayer needs or a desire to participate in the prayer chain may be communicated in any of these ways:
  • Email Susie Galloway at  susiegalloway@roadrunner.com
  •  Call Susie Galloway at (843) 715-0582.
  • Email the church at stlukes@stlukeshhi.org
  • Phone the church office at (843)785-4099

The Intercessory Prayer group meets each week from 11 to 12 p.m. each Wednesday in the Prayer Room, just after the 10:00 service. We gladly welcome anyone who wants to come to pray with us during this hour.
The hour is spent together in prayer for the church clergy and staff, church services, families, leaders, youth, children, missionaries, those in the military, and any special requests that we have received. Special prayer concerns are then mailed out to the intercessory prayer chain for daily prayer during the following week.

Real MOMS

(currently not meeting)
Mothers Offering Mutual Support (M.O.M.S) was rechristened Real MOMS at St. Luke’s. We focus on young mothers.
Please call or text Judi Clifford 843-247-4858 for more information.
Real MOMS is a Bible-study based group for young mothers that has the goal of developing devoted disciples of Jesus Christ. Through our group, older women mentor young women according to the model in Titus 2:2. Real MOMS is a teaching and training ministry which includes support for parenting and marriage skills. We hope to train young moms to teach their children, love their husbands and be a part of the community by serving in God’s name. All our study material is Bible based. We often study books on marriage, parenting, or being a woman who is seeking God in her life.

Also, we are encouragers. We take food to new moms after a baby is born; we share the life experiences of mothering and being a spiritual friend; and we minister to the whole family with family outings and social events. We have taken two bus trips to Beth Moore conferences in the last two years after studying Beth Moore material.
