Connection Groups
So what are Connection Groups?
Connection Groups are St. Luke’s small group ministry that will foster deep disciples for Jesus Christ. The foundation for these groups is found in five very important areas: Discipleship, Fellowship, Ministry, Worship and Mission. It is our hope these Christian characteristics will be embodied in each group under the leadership of the Connection Group facilitators. Each group is topic based, meaning you will have an opportunity to sign up for a topic that interests you the most. Each group will meet at various locations on the island and will meet at various times. We truly believe the Connection Groups will help us grow deeper in our walk with the Lord and with each other. Please prayerfully consider joining one of these powerful groups.
Why join a Connection Group or Bible Study?
Because it’s hard to find community in a corporate worship service for an hour & a half every Sunday.
Because you'll meet some folks just like you and others with various perspectives & backgrounds.
Because we’re called to be givers, not just takers (e.g., help set up, bring a snack, pray for group members)
Because it fosters accountability - to attend, to complete lessons, to be challenged and to grow!
Because it’s God’s plan for you to be in quality relationships to Him and to others.
Because being in community with others can actually lighten our loads.
Because we all need a place to belong and work through the issues of life — it’s part of growing in Christ.

Available Groups
Small Group Study – Jesus The Game Changer
This Fall our primary offering will be a video series entitled Jesus The Game Changer. Jesus Christ has made an indelible mark on human history and He continues to do so through His followers. Yet many people do not realize that the values western democracies are built on originate in the life and teaching of Jesus – the equality of all, servant leadership, care for the poor and marginalized, dignity of women and children, education, to name just a few.
This is a series of 10 30-minute videos that will be followed by a time of group discussion. It will be available at many different times and places. You are welcome to sign up at the bottom of this page or by contacting the church office. We will restrict groups other than those on Wednesday nights to a maximum of about 12 people, so if your first-choice group is full, you will be very welcome in another group. Most groups will begin the week of September 17 and end the week of November 17.
Discovery Class
For people new to St. Luke’s, or considering joining our Church and making St. Luke’s your church home, we are offering our Discovery Class beginning Monday night, September 17 from 6:45 until 8 PM and running for 8 weeks. All are welcome to join us in the Ministry Center Vestry Room. Sign up with church office.
St. Luke’s Family Night
All are invited to come to the weekly pot-luck supper at 5:30 on Wednesday evenings, followed at 6:30 - 7:30 PM by a program for children lead by Veronica Chisholm and adult programs lead by Rev. Greg Kronz and Rev. Steve Chisholm. This is a wonderful opportunity for fellowship and learning.
