Rob and Janina Cushman, Barbara Wolf and June Smith recently represented Saint Luke’s at New Wineskins Missions Conference. They were joined by Saint Luke’s missionaries Michael Jun, Elizabeth Agumba and Yvonne North. In attendance were 60 bishops, 7 archbishops and about 1500 priests and lay people from all over the world. It was such a rich time to connect and grow in understanding of what God is doing all over the world through Anglicans. The group learned about unreached people groups, the persecuted church, Anglican sending organizations and heard incredible testimonies of missionaries and nationals serving in very difficult parts of the world. They heard many times that “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few,” (Matthew 9:37). They are excited to see how God will guide Saint Luke’s in raising up laborers and sending them to the nations.

Acts 1:8 gives us our instructions: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” New International Version (NIV)
We support missions on Hilton Head Island, in the surrounding areas and all around the world by giving ... and going. We raise money for missions through special giving and our annual budget. We travel to missions locally and around the world. Through the power of the Holy Spirit we seek to be witnesses of the power of Jesus Christ to change lives and social situations.
