Lay Eucharistic Ministry
The Lay Eucharistic Ministry provides Holy Communion at home to parishioners who are unable to attend the weekly worship service at Saint Luke’s, whether because of hospitalization or recuperation at home. The ministry assists the pastor of pastoral care.
Volunteers in the Lay Eucharistic Ministry also provide weekly worship services at the Seabrook Fraser Centre and at Tidepointe (Broad Creek ). Elderly people in these residential facilities are not able to travel to Saint Luke's so we bring Holy Communion to them.

“This is the assurance we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us -Whatever we ask- we know that we have what we asked of Him.” (1 John 5:14-15)
Each Sunday at the second worship service prayer teams are available for those who wish individual prayer in addition to those spoken within the liturgy of the worship setting. Prayer team members are available specifically for that purpose; to pray for and with worshipers who have prayer requests for health concerns, healing, intercession for others, joy, thanksgiving, or whatever the Spirit has put in their hearts to be lifted to the Lord. Prayers are received in love and faith and remain strictly confidential. |

Prayer needs or a desire to participate in the prayer chain may be communicated in any of these ways:
Email Susie Galloway at [email protected]
The Intercessory Prayer group meets each week from 11:00 AM to 12 NOON each Wednesday in the Prayer Room, just after the 10:00 AM Wednesday Eucharist service. We gladly welcome anyone who wants to come to pray with us during this hour.
The hour is spent together in prayer for the church clergy and staff, church services, families, leaders, youth, children, missionaries, those in the military, and any special requests that we have received. Special prayer concerns are then mailed out to the intercessory prayer chain for daily prayer during the following week.
