Our Teachers
At Saint Luke's Preschool, we are blessed with teachers that are second to none. Our teachers truly love our students and embody the core of being a representation of the hands, heart and feet of Jesus.
Janice Ring, Director
After her recent retirement, our beloved Director Janice has returned to us here at Saint Lukes. We as a school are so incredibly grateful for her presence and guidance. Janice Ring is married and has two adult children. She and her husband moved to this area in 2005 from Baltimore, MD for ministry purposes. Janice has a BA degree in Elementary Education from Arlington Bible College in Baltimore, MD. She has additional credits from Cedarville College (Cedarville, OH), Catonsville Community College (Baltimore, MD), and Tennessee Temple University (Chattanooga, TN). Janice was self-employed with a home-based Day Care where infants to five-year-olds were enrolled. She was a kindergarten teacher at Liberty Christian School for ten years. She also served as an administrative assistant for the Missions Pastor for three years and the Children’s Director for four years at Chapelgate Presbyterian Church. Janice feels called to ministry with children and loves sharing the love of Jesus Christ with them.
Minnows (18 months – 24 months)
Brittany Rubio, Teacher
Brittany has been with St. Luke’s Preschool for four years and is the lead teacher in the Minnows class. Brittany lives here on Hilton Head Island with her family, and beautiful new daughter. She has a quiet and loving spirit which makes it easy for the little toddlers to quickly connect with her. Brittany has a passion for education and loves the children she works with daily. Brittany enjoys fostering an environment for learning and exploring through creative play. We are blessed to have her here with us at St. Lukes Preschool in our Minnows group.
Maria Parks, Assistant Teacher
Maria is not native to the Lowcountry, but she relocated here with her family from New York. Maria has been with St. Luke's Preschool for two years. Maria comes to St. Luke's with a background in children's education and a wealth of experience. Maria comes to us with a wealth of knowledge, and a love for our littlest students. Maria is an asset to our preschool.
Dulce Milana, Assistant Teacher
Dulce is not a native of Lowcountry but has resided in Lowcountry for 24 years. Dulce moved from the beautiful country of Mexico where she grew up and developed as a child. As a part of her beautiful upbringing, Dulce is bilingual and enjoys sharing her passion for her native language with the children here at school. Dulce enjoys being around all of the children here at St. Lukes Preschool and fostering an environment of encouragement and love in all she does. Dulce currently resides in Lowcountry with her Husband and daughter. When she is not at Preschool, she enjoys making memories with her daughter and spending time with her beautiful family.
DARCY WATSON, ASSISTANT TEACHER
Ms. Darcey comes to us with a passion for early childhood education. Ms. Darcey has a wealth of experience in working with young children, and enjoys spreading sunshine around our school campus. Ms. Darcey is very flexible and assists where she is needed throughout the school day. Our children absolutely adore Ms. Darcey and her childlike spirit. Ms. Darcey inspires us all to enjoy life and to make everyday the best day ever! Ms. Darcey lives here on Hilton Head, and enjoys biking and spending time with her significant other and family.
SeahorseS A (2-3 year olds)
Lisa Mullinax, Teacher
Ms. Lisa comes to us here at St. Lukes Preschool as a lead teacher this year. Mrs. Lisa has filled in the gaps for us over the years, and is now able to be with us permanently. Mrs. Lisa comes to us with a passion for teaching. Having homeschooled her four children, and working in various co-ops to provide learning experience for children from all over the Lowcountry, Lisa has an enthusiasm for education and the patience necessary to work with children of all ages. Mrs. Lisa has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Southern Wesleyan University. She is a Carolina native, migrating between North Carolina and South Carolina. Mrs. Lisa enjoys watching children grow in their knowledge of the Lord and thrive to be who they are called to be in Christ.
Kethlly Marangoni, Assistant Teacher
Kethlly, or Ms. K, as she is affectionally called here at St. Lukes comes to us as a native from Brazil. Ms. K moved to the United States in October of 2015, and went to University here. Mrs. K has a Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration, but has a passion for working with young people. Since living here in South Carolina, she has maintained a career in working with Children by being the form Beach Club at Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina as their recreation assistant, as well as working in various preschools as support staff. Kethlly lives on Hilton Head island with her beautiful daughter Ana Isabel and enjoys making memories with her. Mrs. K's love radiates outwards and is infectious to our school. The children adore her and we as a staff love working with her.
SEAHORSES B (2-3 YEAR OLDS)
Meredith Moretz, Teacher
Meredith comes to us having a wealth of educational knowledge. Mrs. Meredith grew up in Savannah, GA with her parents. After adolescence, Ms. Meredith went on her educational journey. Mrs. Meredith has a bachelors in Piano Performance from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX, a masters degree in Music History/Theory from The University of Chicago as well as an Early Childhood Education masters degree from DePaul University. Ms. Meredith student-taught in the Chicago Public School district before moving back to the Lowcountry. Ms. Meredith has 3 young children who also attend St. Lukes, and she enjoys playing piano at a local church. Ms. Meredith believes that making music together helps children learn to be good listeners and compassionate friends.
GABRIELLA FULLER, teacher
Mrs. Gabi native country is Mexico. She has lived in the LowCountry since she was three years old. She is excited to be a part of the St. Luke’s Preschool teaching team. She loves working with children and in her seven years of experience loves seeing children explore and learn.
She is married with three beautiful children, Mateo (5), Hazel (4) and Ethel (1.5). She loves to swim and spend time with her family. We are blessed to have her at St. Luke’s Preschool.

Dolphin Class (3 – 4 year olds)
Lola Lazovic, Teacher
Lola is a graduate from the University of Sarajevo with a BA in Law. In 2012 she earned an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Technical College of the LowCountry. She has lived on Hilton Head Island with her husband, John and two adult children, Ivan and Iva since 1992. Lola currently is the assistant teacher for the Dolphins class, as well as teaching a foreign language, Serbian.
Lola believes that “all children are naturally curious, capable and competent learners.” She supports the philosophy of Jean Piaget which a hands on approach. Children learn through “concrete hands on activities through using their five senses to explore their environment.
Lola enjoys reading, swimming, walking on the beach and traveling with her family.
Lola’s life verse is Psalm 32:8 “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go, I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”

Lainy Tompson, Assistant Teacher
Mrs. Lainy comes to us from the beautiful country of Brazil. As a Hilton Head resident for ten years, Lainy has established herself, build a home and grown a family here in the Lowcountry. Lainy has been with St. Luke’s Preschool for 5 years. Lainy is such an asset to our preschool program here at St. Lukes Preschool. Lainy has a great rapport with the children. She comes along side of children and helps them grow and develop. Lainy’s quiet spirit and confident presence encourages the children into an environment of learning and fun. Lainy lives on Hilton Head Island with her Husband and daughter.
Dawn Dixon, Assistant Teacher
Mrs. Dawn is not a South Carolina native, but has resided in Low Country for 18 years. We are fortunate to have had Mrs. Dawn here at St. Luke’s Preschool for four years. Mrs. Dawn has filled various roles needed throughout our preschool including being an assistant in our Minnows classroom. This year, she has transitioned to our Seahorse group to continue supporting our preschoolers as they develop and grow. Mrs. Dawn has a wealth of educational knowledge as she homeschooled all four of her children and participated with various homeschool co-ops throughout Lowcountry. She has a kind and loving spirit and the children gravitate toward her. Mrs. Dawn exudes the patience and kindness needed to work with our littlest ones here at St. Lukes preschool. Currently, Dawn lives in Bluffton with her husband. She has four grown children and two beautiful granddaughters whom she loves to spend time with.
Sharks (Pre-Kindergarten)
Areli Romero, Teacher
Mrs. Areli has been with us at St. Lukes preschool for one year. Ms. Areli has been living on Hilton Head Island since she was a child, and considers herself a native to this area. As a young child, her dream was to grow up and become an educator working with early childhood aged children. Areli has eight years of working with children, and has now assumed the position as lead teacher, fulfilling her calling and heartfelt wishes. Areli still lives on Hilton Head but with her husband and three boys, Daniel (9), Gonzalo Jr. (5) and Christopher (3). "I am blessed and excited to be a part of St. Lukes Preschool and to be a part of your little one's lives." We are so blessed to have Areli's light shining in our school, and treasure watching her work with our pre kinders.
Leiani Parks, Assistant Teacher
As a native New Yorker, Ms. Leiani relocated to Lowcountry with her husband, daughter and mother several years back. Ms. Leiani has an extensive background and years of experience working with early childhood aged children. We have been fortunate to have Ms. Leiani here at St. Lukes Preschool for two years. Ms. Lei brings a passion for art and creativity to the classroom that inspires an environment full of wonder and joy. The children enjoy spending time with Ms. Lei and learning alongside her. In her free time Ms. Lei loves to spend time with her family and express herself through art.
Regan BICKFORD, Assistant Teacher
Ms. Regan is new to St. Lukes this year and we are so excited to have her join us. She is no stranger to Lowcountry life, and enjoys all the aspects of living in Lowcountry. Ms. Regan comes to us with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Charleston Southern University. She has a passion for education and excitement for watching young people excel in their learning. Ms. Regan is dedicated to this next generation in watching them grow and flourish to the best of their individual capabilities. When not at school, Ms. Regan enjoys spending time with her family and her dog Bella. She also enjoys going on adventures, kayaking, spending time outdoors and exploring. We are so grateful to have Ms. Regan with us here at St. Lukes this year.

Ms. Ali ROBBINS, AFTERCARE Staff
The wonderful Ms. Ali has been working here at St. Lukes preschool for 10+ years. She comes to us here at St. Lukes with a plethora of educational experience and knowledge. As a former retired Physical Education teacher, Mrs. Ali enjoys spending time with young people and watching them flourish through play. Ms. Ali holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Health, and has utilized her passion for physical fitness and outdoor recreation throughout her life. Despite being a teacher, Ms. Ali has held various positions including being General Manager of a Golf and Country club in Florida, a Community Relations Specialist for Charter Springs Behavioral Health, and various coaching roles over the course of her working career. Ms. Ali has lived on Hilton Head Island for 15 years and loves Lowcountry living. Working and spreading the love of Gd with our St. Lukes Preschool and our youngest members of the HHI community bring joy to Ms. Ali and she continues to bring sunshine to us here at St. Lukes Preschool.

Ms. Summer, Support Staff
Miss Summer comes to us as a breath of fresh air. She is new to Lowcountry and enjoys living in Bluffton. Soon, Miss Summer will be heading back to the classroom to pursue a degree in Art and Theology. Her young and sweet personality are such a welcome addition to our staff. Miss Summer is our morning person who greets the children each and every day. We are so grateful that she has chosen to join us.

Lynn Gerber, Librarian and Art Curriculum
Mrs. Lynn has lived in the Lowcountry for seven years with her wonderful husband Burt. With a wealth of educational knowledge and background, Mrs. Lynn is nothing but an asset to our school. Before coming to us, Lynn retired from the field of education in 2003. With a background in Special Education, Administration, Curriculum Supports, Mrs. Lynn graciously came out of retirement to support our staff and students here at St. Lukes Preschool. Mrs. Lynn is adored by all of our children and cherished by our staff here. Mrs. Lynn adores being here and pouring into our young people. She enjoys watching our children grow in the knowledge of the Lord, and walking alongside them on their childhood journey.
