Weddings

Wedding Plans and Policies

Picture
A wedding service is a service of worship to God. As a Christian service in an Anglican Church, our service indicates what we believe about God and about marriage.  Marriage, according to scripture, is instituted by God, regulated by his commandments, blessed by our Lord Jesus Christ, and is to be held in honor among all persons. In recognition of these realities, certain policies will assist you and your families in answering questions regarding the wedding ceremony and in making plans. St. Luke's  Church and its staff want your wedding to be meaningful and your marriage to be a growing relationship of love for each other and for God. A service of marriage at St. Luke's is more than a social gathering. It is an ordinance of the Church and a witness to the world of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
